 General Home Inspection:
Our home inspection helps provide you with peace of mind by
giving invaluable information on the investment you are
about to make. The inspection provides a visual examination
of all the components in your home from the foundation to
the roof. We are trained to perform a professional
inspection that meets the highest standards in the
industry-the Standards of Practice established State of New
Jersey.
Our inspection report is computer generated and available ON LINE within 24 hours of the completion of the inspection. We are licensed by the State of New Jersey.
Radon: This test includes the placement of testing devices to measure the ongoing level of radon in the habitable areas of the home.
About The House uses the continuous monitoring device (although charcoal canisters are required wherever electric is not supplied). These measurements evaluate the level of radon to determine if any form of improvement is required. The EPA document

Termite (WDI): About the House conducts a visual inspection of all wood destroying insects (including termites, carpenter ants, carpenter bees, powder post beetles, old house borers). The report is prepared on the official
NPMA-33 form, accepted by most (if not all) lending institutions.

Asbestos
 Popular throughout the 20th century, asbestos is a fibrous mineral that became a prominent material used in construction and industrial applications. Due to its highly durable, inexpensive and flame resistant qualities, asbestos normally appeared as insulation for piping, roofing, siding and flooring in homes built prior to 1980, when use of asbestos halted in the U.S. dramatically.
However, some homes constructed in the 1990s even have a chance of housing asbestos because vermiculite insulation came from a mine that contained a large amount of asbestos. Even recently, some inspectors have reported asbestos in cement in condos around the country that appear to have been installed in 2009.
Home inspections will be a valuable step in achieving peace of mind with your home. As a homeowner, you can avoid asbestos exposure by taking some easy precautions. If asbestos is suspected, a home inspection will be beneficial to make sure your property is free and clear of asbestos or any other harmful materials.
Asbestos, Healthy Tips and Home Inspections
Your home may need structural inspections or even renovations and a home inspector can identify any materials that will be a problem. Through a professional consultation, home inspectors equipment and expertise have made this into a valuable process that rapidly studies any areas of concern. When dealing with any suspected asbestos, there are certain themes to take into account.The best advice is to leave it undisturbed and in good condition. This will keep asbestos in a non-deteriorated state, avoiding its fibers to break down and become airborne. If the asbestos is in a deteriorated state and loose, then it will be a problem because its toxic fibers will move into the air. As a home or property owner, asbestos can appear in roof shingles, attic insulation, pipe coverings, joint compounds, electrical wires, furnace cement, fire brick and gaskets.
When airborne asbestos fibers are inhaled by an individual, this is where significant concern arises. These fibers can become lodged into ones chest and this can later develop into a serious health problem. A severe form of asbestos lung cancer known as mesothelioma can develop when exposed. Due to a long latency period lasting anywhere from 20 to 50 years, mesothelioma patients usually receives poor prognosis from physicians. This makes a mesothelioma life span not as positive as one would hope. Remember, with the right amount of awareness, it is simple to keep yourself away from asbestos!
Green Alternatives and Asbestos Removal
Asbestos removal in public facilities, workplaces and homes must be performed by licensed abatement contractors who are trained in handling toxic substances. There are many state specific environmental and health programs that have installed an asbestos program that which assists citizens and homeowners with pertinent information in regards to the safe handling/removal of asbestos. These types of public programs help protect and promote the physical and health of citizens from asbestos exposure.
Due to expanding technology in the Eco-friendly paradigm and long term cost efficiency evolving at a large rate, the need for environmentally sustainable and healthy building materials is growing as well. “Green” home modifications will help save on energy costs and are better for your health. Many locations throughout the United States are swiftly changing their construction practices to suit the environment and the health of human beings.
Some healthy insulation alternatives that replace the need for asbestos include: cotton fiber, lcynene foam and cellulose. Cotton fiber is quickly becoming a favorite for home builders and renovators. Made from recycled batted material, it is also treated to be fireproof. These alternatives to asbestos allow for a safe home, free of health damaging materials.
